Quietly Amused

This blog started in the early 2000s. I had returned from Pondicherry, a freshly minted doctor, and had started my post graduation in surgery. I wrote a lot in my final year to escape the drudgery of what is now my life. Skull-drudgery, if you will.

I then started Neurosurgery and as would be apparent in the time stamps, I wrote less and less.

I stopped writing in 2011.

Went on to discover scuba diving, moved to Hyderabad, learnt underwater photography, lived in the West Indies through COVID-19, came back to India, married someone who I deeply love and who keeps me grounded when nothing else can, rediscovered music and VoilĂ !.

The idea is to write. On diving, photography, audio gear, work, life, and music. The first step was to resuscitate Quietly Amused, which I sometimes am. And so, I present this to you.

The old posts are here. Broken links and long dead pages and images and all.

On an aside, blogger’s new way of backing up posts makes it near impossible to import to WordPress without tearing one’s hair out. There is a gorgeously elegant plug-in that does just that. Painlessly.

The rest will follow.
